Honeysuckle (lonicera japonica) brings to mind warm days of summer and happy childhood memories, but there is more to this lovely, fragrant plant than the honey-sweet flowers. Honeysuckle contains many healing properties that make it a valuable addition to the natural medicine cabinet. 
Honeysuckle has been used to boost the immune system and help fight of colds, bacterial and viral infections, and respiratory infections. It helps ease allergy symptoms, reduces blood pressure, reduce swelling from injury, boils and cysts, to ease arthritis, to help cleanse the blood, and to treat bites and stings.
Our honeysuckle hydrosol is made from the flowers, buds, leaves and young stems that are harvested here on our farm. It has a light, earthy scent with the smallest hint of honey.
