Lemon balm (melissa officinalis) is known to contain a wide range of medicinal properties, including antibacterial, antispasmodic, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory. It is incredibly soothing to the skin, and is included in many of our skincare formulas. It helps to tone, sooth and heal a variety of skin issues including acne, eczema, poison ivy, and shingles.
In aromatherapy, lemon balm is best know for it's ability to calm and uplift the senses, and is commonly used to help alleviate depression and melancholy.
 
Our lemon balm is grown on our farm where we never use synthetic or toxic chemicals. We harvest it when the oils are at their highest concentration, then distill it using fresh spring water. We never add extra water or alcohol to our finished hydrosols.
The finished product is a lovely hydrosol that has a mild fragrance that is very close to the smell of fresh lemon balm.
